Chadd Torres HuntLeague Member and Competitive Shooter - Intro to Matches

In 2024, HuntLeague is inviting the community to meet up and compete in person at multiple events across the country.  Starting March 23rd we have the Accufire Team Sniper Match in Jacksboro, TX.  Jared reached out to HuntLeague member and competitive shooter Chadd Torres (Stag Arms & Vortex Optics) for input on preparing for his first match.  
Chadd has several years of match shooting experience and is still a student of the game.  Although he has never shot this particular flavor of match he had a lot of great input into the process.  With people traveling from around the country to participate it is important to make sure you come prepared with the proper gear and understand the rules of the game.  
Whether you are shooting pro or just getting started you are invited to participate in the Accufire Team Sniper Match along with Jared Newman, Josh Greer (Arken Optics), and others from the HuntLeague community.  

Wally King - 2023 Sweet September (Archery Elk) Finalist

Wally King is once again a league finalist sharing the story of his 2023 archery elk season.  We dive into preseason preparation, the hunt, prioritizing family, and time in the kitchen.  
This is a great episode that I think every husband and father should listen to as Wally shares some things he does in preparation for the hunt that go beyond just tuning a bow and scouting.

Meet James Mansanti - Finalist for the 2023 Sweet September Archery Elk League

James Mansanti hunted 20 consecutive days on the Oregon coast chasing roosevelt elk.  This is a story about perseverance and adjusting to plan B after fires forced him out of his home turf.  
James is one of three finalists in the hunt for the first ever "Sweet September" league title.  This is a league inside the HuntLeague app specifically for archery elk hunters, arguably the most obsessed and insane hunters on the planet.

Josh Katanik’s 2023 DIY WY Archery Elk Hunt

Josh Katanik "JBMAK" from Northern Idaho shares the story of his 2023 archery elk hunt.  He set out on a 16 day hunting trip with three other buddies.  They each burned several points and took time away from work and their families to make this trip happen.  The trip was filled with ups and downs.  There is a lot to learn from their experience including some bonus content about a delicious piece of meat that can often be overlooked when butchering your elk.

Meet the 2022 Outdoorsman of the Year Finalists

The Outdoorsman of the Year is the highest honor awarded within the HuntLeague community.  This award is meant to celebrate the incredible stories and accomplishments of hunters that had what we like to call a "Banner Year".  
Our judges panel is made up of 5 members; last years winner plus representatives from Vortex Optics, Bear Hunting Magazine, Remington, and MTNTOUGH Fitness.  The judges have narrowed the field down to the top three finalists.  Listen in as Josh, Cody, and Ray share some of the adversity, ethical dilemmas, and highlights from their 2022 season.

Wade Carter AKA ”PrepZero” and the A Story

Listen in as Wade Carter tells Part A of his archery elk hunt with Taylor Hix.  After burning a few points to hunt a new unit, you can count on "PrepZero" not to scout, train, or shoot his bow before stepping in the elk woods.  Learn from some of his early mistakes and start building your game plan now for success.
In this episode, Wade dives into pushing through pain, communication and executing a game plan, to the beauty of being fully present in the moment.  Wade and Taylor got into more elk this year than all of their previous seasons combined.  Both Part A & B are filled with great stories from their encounters with elk.

3 Roosevelt Bulls in 36 Hours - Cody Paratore

Cody Paratore shares his 2022 archery elk season where they went 3 for 3 on the Oregon coast.  Cody joined the HuntLeague community in March and started strong with his spring turkey season.  Now just a few months later, he is sitting in a great position to make a run at the 2022 HuntLeague Outdoorsman of the Year title. 
As a responsible husband and father, Cody set out to be as efficient as possible with his time in the field.  He spent the off season studying maps, listening to podcasts, taking courses, and training his body for success.  This hard work paid off with full freezers, special family memories, and a happy supportive wife.
